Dystopian Delight

The Inspiration:

I love to challenge conventional perceptions of reality. The surrealistic setting with alien flora and urban backdrops symbolizes the blending of everyday life with extraordinary elements. We live in a time where change happens so rapidly, especially post-pandemic, making us acutely aware that anything can happen at any moment, both good and bad. This reality has always drawn me to the idea of survival and the personal evolution required to endure and eventually thrive in new circumstances.

Dystopian Delight explores the concept of adapting to new environments and becoming one with nature. Set in a world where chaos and disorder give rise to new forms of beauty and meaning, it examines how some people may remain city dwellers while others might embrace a more rural lifestyle, yet all find a way to harmonize with the natural world.

Given that Japan is an island nation surrounded by the ocean, I wanted to play with the idea of bringing the sea to the land, blending elements of the ocean into the terrestrial landscape. This fusion symbolizes the adaptation and harmony we can achieve with nature, no matter where we live.
